Broccolini With Lemon Caper Sauce Recipe
Broccolini Sauté w/ Lemon Caper Sauce

A flavorful and simple sauce for broccoli or broccolini. It takes it up a notch from just squeezing lemon juice on top with olive oil and chili flakes.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch broccolini
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3/4 cup chopped parsley (loosely packed)
- juice of 1 lemon (3-4 tbsp)
- 1/4 cup pistachios
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp capers
- 6-8 cherry tomatoes (optional, when available)
- chili flakes
Instructions
- Place the broccolini in a large pan with 1/2 a cup of water on low-medium heat. Once it's simmering, steam it for 5 minutes with the lid on. Remove the lid and cook until the water evaporates. About 3 minutes. Then add a little olive oil and cook another 3-5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the sauce. Put all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until everything is well chopped.
- Mix the sauce with the broccolini. Keep in mind that oyu might ave extra sauce that you can save for something else later.
- Plate the broccolini and sprinkle it with lemon zest and chili flakes.
