Just a few ingredients for hearty and warm turnips.

Tokyo Turnip Sauté
Comforting and flavorful.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch Tokyo turnips
- avocado oil
- 15 grams fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon tamari sauce
- 1 jalapeño
- mild chili flakes
- (optional) lime wedge
Instructions
- Heat a small cast iron pan on medium/high heat. Add a little avocado oil.
- Slice turnips in quarters and add them to the pan.
- Use a nugget of ginger. I weighed it to be 15 grams. Slice the skin and chop it well.
- Begin to brown the turnips and add the ginger. Then add some slices of jalapeño.
- Once the turnips are brown, add about 2-3 tablespoons of water, cover, and simmer until cooked through but not soft.
- Plate the turnips and top it off with tamari or soy sauce, and a sprinkle of chili flakes. Add a squeeze of lime juice.
